Reporting pilot

One report. Clear rules. Verifiable results.

We test one recurring report with your specialist team. First we agree data sources, metrics and test cases. MCP can connect the systems; data flows and model hosting are agreed with your IT team.

  • Connect ERP, Excel & planning data
  • Agree the actuals-versus-plan logic
  • Check results against reference cases
  • Train the team and plan operations

What goes into our monthly report?

Actuals and plans by cost centre, variances and sources. Missing entries are flagged for review.

Example: ERP + approved planning data, read-only

When is the pilot accepted?

When agreed test cases, source reconciliation and permission checks pass, and the specialist team approves the report.

Technology & data flows

The right technology. Clear data flows.

  • OpenAI

    AI platform & API

ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API and agents

  • Anthropic

    AI platform & API

Claude, Claude Code and interfaces for AI agents

  • NVIDIA

    Compute infrastructure

Hardware for local models where the use case calls for local hosting

These are among the technologies we assess. Task quality, data requirements, integration and ongoing effort guide the choice.

Before the pilot, we agree where data can flow.

  • Limit access

We define the data and actions a use case needs. Permissions, approvals and logs make those boundaries testable.

  • Check model hosting

A local MCP server alone does not keep data local. The model, connected services, logs and storage locations are part of the architecture review.

  • Agree data use

Data transfer, retention and possible training use are agreed with your responsible teams in advance. Local or Swiss hosting is assessed against your data requirements.

Why Kapitel H

Improve processes. Build skills in your team.

  1. 01

    Finance and production

ERP and accounting data meet practical IT/OT, machine and production-process knowledge. Both perspectives shape the solution.

  2. 02

    Value before tool selection

We start with the workflow: where do delays, errors or rework arise? That defines testable goals and suitable tools.

  3. 03

    A pilot with clear acceptance

A scoped use case is tested against agreed criteria. You then decide whether to move into production.

  4. 04

    Technology to suit the task

Models, interfaces and hosting are selected for the task, data requirements and the work needed to operate them.

  5. 05

    Training on your own process

Your team practises on its own tasks: asking useful questions, checking results, recognising limits and handling exceptions.

  6. 06

    Handover with clear ownership

Documentation, agreed source code and operating knowledge go to your team. Responsibilities and further support are agreed together.

Our approach

Test the value. Build the skills.

We combine consulting, delivery and training around a specific process. Each step gives you a sound basis for your next decision.

Your team helps shape the work. Business and IT agree goals, data access and evaluation criteria. Training, documentation and clear ownership are part of delivery.

  1. 01

    Assess value

Understand workflows, establish baselines and estimate potential in hours and francs. Make assumptions and effort visible.

    Prioritised use cases

  2. 02

    Test a pilot

Test a scoped finance or reporting use case. Four to six weeks is indicative once data access and approvals are in place.

    Evaluate against agreed criteria

  3. 03

    Prepare production

After pilot acceptance, plan production operation: permissions, monitoring, error handling and responsible owners.

    Approve production separately

  4. 04

    Train & hand over

Your team practises using and checking the solution. Documentation, agreed source code and a clear support arrangement accompany handover.

    Operate internally or with support

Questions

What prospects ask us.

Your question is not listed? Write to us.

What exactly does Kapitel H do?

Kapitel H helps small and mid-sized companies in finance and production reduce routine work and make decisions with useful data. Based in Sisseln, Aargau, the consultancy combines potential analysis, AI agents and system integrations, process and industrial automation, and training. Dr. Maher Hamid and Schady Hamid, B.Eng. guide business and technical delivery.

How do you choose the right AI technology?

Selection starts with the use case: which task should improve, what quality is needed, and which data may be processed? Kapitel H assesses options including OpenAI, Anthropic and local models on suitable hardware. Integration, ongoing costs and the work needed to operate the solution are part of that assessment.

Does our data stay in Switzerland?

That depends on the full data flow. A local MCP server alone is not enough: model hosting, transmitted content, logs and connected services also matter. Before use, we agree permitted data flows, storage locations, retention and training use. Fully local operation is assessed separately where the data requirements call for it.

Which systems can be connected?

Possible source systems include Abacus, Bexio, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, Microsoft 365 and DATEV. In production, options include OPC UA, Siemens S7, Beckhoff, B&R, MES and control systems. Feasibility and scope depend on available interfaces, licences, data quality and access rights. Actions that control equipment require separate approval.

How do we check whether AI is worth it?

We start with a specific workflow, such as invoice checks, month-end reporting or production reports. Processing time, errors and rework provide a baseline. A potential analysis estimates value and effort using explicit assumptions. The pilot tests what works in practice. Estimated potential is not yet realised savings.

What determines the scope and cost?

Key factors are process scope, systems involved, data quality, access rights, security needs, training and operation. The first conversation establishes your goal and starting point, followed by a proposal with an agreed scope. Pilot, production delivery and ongoing support are defined separately so you can decide on each next step.

How long does a first pilot take?

Four to six weeks can be an indicative timeframe for a scoped finance or reporting pilot once interfaces, data access, owners and approvals are in place. We agree the schedule after assessment. Production follows successful acceptance and an agreed operating plan; the work needed to reach it is planned separately.

How will our staff be involved?

Your business team and IT help define goals, evaluation criteria and approvals. Training and exercises using your own process cover daily use, checking results and handling errors. Documentation, agreed source code and operating knowledge form part of the handover. Together we decide which tasks your team takes on and where support remains useful.

Does Kapitel H work outside Switzerland?

Kapitel H is based in Sisseln, Aargau, with a focus on German-speaking Switzerland. Consulting and training are also offered to companies in Germany and Austria. Projects can run in German or English. Location, on-site work and the way we collaborate are agreed to suit each project.
